Red Bull motorsport advisor Helmut Marko reckons his team forced Lewis Hamiltons engine failure at the Malaysian Grand Prix by putting the world champion under pressure.Hamilton retired from the lead on lap 41 while trying to open a gap big enough to ensure he would emerge from his final stop ahead of both Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen. After the race, Hamilton insisted he had not been pushing the engine too hard, pointing out it had only previously done one race.Speaking to the official F1 website, Marko said: My guess is that we very likely forced him into that engine failure! We permanently put pressure on him, challenging his lead, as he knew he had to create a gap - and to go permanently full throttle was probably not the best thing for his engine.Marko thinks Red Bull would have been challenging the world champion for the victory regardless had his car made it to the chequered flag. But even without him retiring we had some things up our sleeves -- I will not say what -- just that with both cars on different strategies we would have challenged him anyway towards the end of the race. When asked why Red Bull was legitimately close to Mercedes on a circuit considered more power-dependant, he replied: To be honest it took quite a while to understand that we could challenge Mercedes here. In the beginning of the weekend we were very sceptical - but then qualifying showed that we were not so far off to Mercedes - and clearly ahead of Ferrari. That was a good feeling going into the race. Adidas NMD Womens Black Pink . Marincin has played in two NHL games so far this season with two penalty minutes.
