Nokia have had a hard time of it lately Cheap Jordan 11 , and it’s not hard to pinpoint the exact occasion things started to go wrong. It was January 9th, 2007. Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple, stepped up to the dais at the Macworld Apple convention – holding a prototype of Apple’s newest gadget. A phone without a keyboard; a phone that would instead rely 100% on a virtual touch screen keyboard. Apple’s iPhone shook the phone industry to it’s (Apple-)core, and nowhere was this quake experienced more seismically than in Finland Cheap Jordan 10 , at the headquarters of the undoubted market leaders of hand-held phoning. Nokia would take three years to respond to Apple’s smartphone. Their iPhone challenger was called the N8. Was it a failure, or a legitimate contender?
Every year Nokia unveil a flagship phone, meant to demonstrate their newest R & D. In 2011 that flagship is the N8. My first impression of the N8 is that the handset’s really slick – the rounded ends are pleasing, and the alloy outer shell gives it a high quality look and feel. What’s immediately obvious is the amount of exterior switches and buttons it contains. The right side includes a screen-lock switch and camera key, the left includes a micro-USB interface and SIMmicroSD slots Cheap Jordan 1 , and on top there’s an HDMI port.
A key constituent of any smartphone is the touchscreen. The N8’s touchscreen is 3.5-inches, with 640 x 360 resolution, and made from ‘Gorilla Glass’. Gorilla Glass, Nokia claim, is 100% scratch resistant. And when they say scratch resistant http://www.cheapjordansretroforsale.net/ , they certainly aren’t kidding. I rubbed keys and a fork against it, and I must confess it didn’t leave even a hairline mark. You can leave your N8 in a pocket or bag and it will come out unscathed.
The OS installed on the N8 is the Symbian 3 – and it’s the Achilles Heel of the phone. Symbian’s OS is sluggish, has desperately few in-built apps and feels dated, antiquated even, in comparison to the Android and iOS. It’s poor that after spending so much time crafting a phone that is eye-catching and effective Cheap Air Jordan Shoes , Nokia then chose a lousy operating system that scuppers the whole venture.
Not long after, Nokia brought out the E7. What was surprising was how different the two phones were. The E7 is distinctly bigger and weighs more than the N8 (135 grams to 176 grams). It has a larger screen that incorporates a ‘ClearBlack Display’ – what this means, in simple terms, is that the screen adjusts the lighting on auto-pilot based on the how bright the sunlight is. As opposed to the N8, the E7’s camera fails to extend from the rear. That affords the shell a more sleek feel and means it can be placed flat on a table while the slider is open. Despite the fact that the camera is more intelligently integrated to the E7 than the N8 Cheap Jordan Retro Shoes , the still image and video quality is dull, and not as impressive as the N8. Interestingly the E7 also offers a QWERTY keyboard that glides out from the bottom of the mechanism – this accounts for the majority of the extra weight of the phone. Unfortunately a change Nokia have not made is the sub-par Symbian 3 OS, which means you’re subjected to that unresponsive and dated interface.
